Free connected garden-water tool

Turn measured flow and runtime into a transparent water record.

Calculate delivered volume, geometric equivalent depth over an area, recorded-rainfall volume, and an independent volume difference—without turning those numbers into a watering recommendation.

Start hereChoose units

Step 1 · required

Flow and runtime

Use a flow you measured at the tested setup, or enter a value from another clearly identified source.

Step 2 · optional

Area and equivalent depth

Enter the area receiving the calculated volume, or import area from compatible Garden Bed Builder dimensions saved on this device.

Only length, width, and units are imported. Crop and location fields are not copied.
Step 3 · optional

Recorded rainfall

Add a rainfall depth only when it applies to the same entered area and time record.

Step 4 · optional

Independent volume check

If another method measured total volume, compare it with flow × runtime. A difference is not a diagnosis.

What each result means

Calculated volume = flow × runtime. Equivalent depth = volume ÷ area. Rainfall volume = rainfall depth × area. Combined geometric depth = equivalent application depth + entered rainfall depth.

Worked example

A measured flow of 2.3 U.S. gal/min for 30 minutes calculates to 69 U.S. gallons. Spread geometrically over 171.82 ft², that is approximately 0.644 inches of equivalent depth.

The calculation does not establish that 69 gallons or 0.644 inches is needed, sufficient, uniform, or retained.
